Road to Rhinebeck (or can I knit a sweater in 8 days)

On Oct 8 I looked at a big, beautiful pile of Anzula yarn and wondered, can I design and knit a sweater in 8 days in time to wear it to Rhinebeck? Let’s see how I did in my pursuit of

The Rhinebeck Sweater

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you saw my whole story. Instagram is a wonderful way to share pictures and I decided to use the instagram story to tell the tale. Come on by and follow the fun.

So how did this crazy 8 day sweater experience go . . . pretty good. I’m really happy with it! It’s super soft and cozy, has some fun details at hem, cuff and neck, fully fashioned shaping, and best of all . . . it’s the first sweater I think I’ve EVER designed that’s all stockinette, that means it will be CRAZY easy to knit this at other gauges or to fit you perfectly.

Stay tuned for the pattern. Make sure you subscribe to my newsletter for the a coupon.

What do you think it should be named? Leave me a comment. So far the names pulling into the lead from Instagram are:

  • Ring Around Rhinebeck
  • Rings of Saturn
  • Jetson
  • Space Oddity

What do you think??

Edited to Add: It was named JETSON!!
