Rhinebeck Group Meet-Up & Book Signing – 2023

Rhinebeck Group Meet-Up & Book Signing – 2023

Every year, the New York Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, New York, feels like reuniting with an old friend. It’s a break from the usual routine, a chance to dive into a world of yarn, friendship, adorable animals, and the beautiful colors of fall. It’s a weekend I eagerly await, and I’m excited to tell you that this year’s Rhinebeck will be extra special!

If you’re not familiar with Rhinebeck—it’s a fantastic festival that celebrates everything related to yarn and animals. Imagine a place where fluffy sheep, adorable alpacas, and clever herding dogs are the stars, surrounded by lots and lots of yarn that will make your creative side jump for joy. If you’re wondering whether you should go, the answer is a big YES!

This year, Rhinebeck takes place on October 21st and 22nd, and I have some exciting news to share!

Big Group Meet-Up:

After the book signing, at 3:00 PM on the same day, we’re having a BIG group meet-up, and this is where the real fun begins. Imagine a gathering of knitting enthusiasts and teachers all coming together for a memorable experience. I’ll be joined by some amazing knitting personalities (and friends!): Carson Demers, Carol Feller, Mieka John, Lauren McElroy, Laura Nelkin, and Xandy Peters.

Join us for a meet up next to the beer tent, at the Mulberry St. entrance! There is a large tent with picnic tables, and plenty of sustenance near-by. A great place to have a seat and hang with your friends!

This meet-up is all about celebrating our lively knitting community in person. It’s relaxed and friendly, so don’t be shy! Come say hello, share stories, and take pictures. And remember to proudly wear your Patty Lyons pattern—it’s a great icebreaker, and we’ll capture some fantastic group photos!
